Incorporated in 2005, Arbor Equity purchases, remediates and redevelops environmentally contaminated properties.  We also focus on the development of innovative green communities where development and construction are thoughtfully planned and executed in order to reduce the impact on the environment by minimizing waste and reducing energy consumption.

One of our objectives is to pursue transactions that fall below the minimum size criteria of Cherokee Investment Partners, LLC. Cherokee manages a series of private equity funds that began acquiring contaminated real estate in 1993. It has subsequently acquired over 500 sites in North America and Western Europe, returning them to positive use. Arbor Equity was founded to apply Cherokee’s strategy to investments smaller than Cherokee’s current minimum equity investment ($10 million). We are collocated with Cherokee at its headquarters in Raleigh, NC.
